Learn about the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a proprietary information security standard for organisations that handle branded credit cards from the major card schemes including Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

As a consequence, any iGaming Operator that offers these schemes as a means of payment must comply with the twelve stipulations the standard contains as part of its provision agreement.

Developing security awareness for all employees who handle cardholder data is one of the stipulations and a cornerstone of the PCI Data Security Standard. Besides which, it helps to improve security, reduce the risk of data loss, and simplify meeting general PCI requirements.
